Terms of Service
Last updated September 29, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Kristy Amar Consulting LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("Maon," "we," "us"), for your use of Maon by KAC, including getmaon.com, the Maon app, and the vendor and tenant pages it provides. By creating an account or using Maon, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. What Maon is
Maon is a tool that helps homeowners, landlords and property managers organize home repairs: troubleshooting guides, tenant and vendor messages, work orders, visit scheduling, invoices and repair history.
Maon is a tool, not a contractor. We don't perform repairs, employ or supervise vendors, or guarantee any vendor's work, licensing, insurance, prices or availability. We don't pay bills for you, and we don't contact your tenants on our own. You choose your vendors and pay them directly.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract.
- Give accurate information and keep your password private. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell us right away at info@getmaon.com if you think someone else has used your account.
- Before Maon opens to the public, accounts may require an invite code. Access given by an invite code lasts for the time stated with the code.
3. Plans, trials and billing
- Home Free costs nothing. Paid plans are Home Plus ($10 a month or $110 a year), Rental for up to 3 properties ($22 a month or $242 a year) and Rental Pro for up to 25 properties ($52 a month or $572 a year). Prices are in US dollars, and the same price applies whether you pay by card or bank. Applicable taxes may be added.
- Free trial. Your first paid plan may start with a 14-day free trial. You won't be charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel before then at no cost.
- Automatic renewal. Paid plans renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize us, through our payment processor Stripe, to charge your card or bank account at each renewal.
- Canceling. Cancel anytime in Settings → Plan and billing → Manage billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, then it ends. We don't give refunds for partial periods, except where the law requires.
- Changing plans. If you switch plans mid-period, the difference is prorated on your next bill.
- Failed payments. If a payment doesn't go through, we'll let you know. If it isn't fixed, your account may be paused. When paused, you can still see your records, and nothing is deleted.
- Price changes. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before a price change applies to your plan, so you can cancel first if you choose.
4. Your content
You own the information, photos and files you put into Maon ("your content"). You give us permission to store, process and display your content only as needed to run Maon for you, for example to send a work order you ask us to send or to show a vendor their job page. You're responsible for having the right to add your content, including information about tenants and vendors.
5. Vendor and tenant pages
Maon lets you share private links with vendors and tenants so they can update a request without an account. Anyone with a link can use it, so share links only with the right person. You can replace a tenant link at any time. Vendors and tenants who use these pages agree to use them only for the repair they relate to, and to be truthful in what they submit.
6. Community vendor directory
Users can share vendor businesses in the community directory and recommend or report them. Listings come from users. We don't check, endorse or guarantee any vendor listed. Share only business information you have the right to share, and never private personal information. We may edit or remove listings at our discretion.
7. Your responsibilities as an owner or landlord
You're responsible for your properties and for following the laws that apply to you, including landlord-tenant laws (such as notice before entering a rental), fair housing laws, and licensing and insurance requirements for work done at your property. Maon's troubleshooting steps are general guidance. In an emergency (fire, gas smell, flooding, electrical hazard or injury), call 911 or the right emergency service first.
8. Acceptable use
Don't use Maon to break the law, harass anyone, send spam, upload harmful code, try to access other people's accounts or data, or interfere with the service. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep Maon running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Emails depend on outside providers and may be delayed or filtered. We may improve, change or retire features. If we make a change that significantly reduces what your paid plan includes, we'll tell you in advance.
10. Ending your account
You can stop using Maon and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or goes unpaid. After an account is closed, we delete its data as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimers
Maon is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We're not responsible for the acts, work, charges or omissions of any vendor, tenant or other user.
12. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Maon and Kristy Amar Consulting LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or property damage arising from your use of Maon or from any repair. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Maon in the 12 months before the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
13. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold harmless Maon and Kristy Amar Consulting LLC from claims arising from your content, your properties, your dealings with vendors or tenants, or your breach of these terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in or serving Clay County, Florida, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
15. Changes to these terms
If we make important changes, we'll update the date above and notify account holders by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Maon after that, you accept the updated terms.
